Sobering Away In Wrigleyville?

Hmm...maybe they should stop serving after a certain point...

The City of Chicago is asking bars to stop serving after the 7th inning on any games that would result in the Cubs clinching the round (though, looking at the picture of yours truly at Bernie’s after a game, maybe this isn’t such a bad idea?!).  I guess I can understand the logic – let’s face it, we like to have a good time after a win, as evidenced by the aforementioned line at Mullen’s (?!?!) after clinching the NL Central – but what is this really going to do?  So they are going to cut you off at the 7th, you buy a couple of drinks to get you through to when they resume sales after the game ends.  It’s like trying to stop a fat man at Old Country Buffett – if someone wants to have a little more, they will find a way around the system.  So let’s stop being ridiculous, and let the people enjoy the repeal of prohibition, you commie bastards.
